Lumecca pulsed light

Lumecca is a procedure used to treat pigmentation disorders and vascular spots (visible blood vessels), by means of pulsed light (photo-rejuvenation). It can correct brown marks related to ageing or sun, rash problems such as rosacea, varicose veins and visible veins. After just one treatment with Lumecca at Concept Clinic, patients already see improvements in the appearance, texture and clarity of their skin.

    and results

Photo-rejuvenation treatment is carried out in our specially equipped laser room, which meets with health authority standards in terms of comfort, safety and hygiene. Lumecca may be performed under a local anaesthetic using an anaesthetic ointment, although the Lumecca cooling nozzle makes the treatment virtually painless.

During the Lumecca treatment, a flash will be projected from the device, as during pulsed light hair removal. You will feel a rapid stretching and a slight sensation of heat. The length of the session varies depending on the number of areas of the body to be treated. After the Lumecca treatment, you will have a slight redness and experience a sensation that will dissipate after one hour. Pigmentation marks should darken and then disappear within 24 to 48 hours. Sun-related skin problems will disappear after only a few days of treatment. Visible veins and varicose veins will take several days more. We strongly advise our patients to avoid exposure to the sun during the treatment period. A few weeks after Lumecca, you will rediscover a clear, healthy and youthful skin. For maximum results, one to three sessions are recommended.

Lumecca

Lumecca can treat all areas of the body, although pulsed light treatment is often used on areas more exposed to the sun, such as the face, neck, chest, arms and hands, as well as areas with varicose veins, the legs in particular. The combination of lasers and lights travelling through the epidermis creates heat that acts on parts of the body, promoting rejuvenation and regeneration of the skin: capillary micro-vessels (to reduce redness and red marks), pigments (to remove brown marks), fibroblasts (which manufacture collagen) and collagen itself. Pulsed light does not damage the tissues surrounding the area being treated.
